NY State Health Dept. is mandating all hospital medical staff to be vaccinated by about 11/30/09 or GET FIRED. So the nurses lobbied at the Capitol yesterday claiming their rights are being violated and they were denied the request of not getting the vaccine. So, this is not good. As a patient, one can refuse treatment, even a flu or pneumina vac. But now the State is telling us we have to take the shot and NYS nurse asscociation stated they have never worked by mandates. Now lets watch the news to see who gets fired. I personally don't take flu shots, I don't feel comfortable about them.. good thing is I live in NY but travel nurse OUT OF NEW YORK.
Any thoughts.PS New York is the only state doing this mandation.
Thankfully, I am not in NY. I personally do NOT want the damned shot, either. I seem to remember the Swine Flu bit when Ford was President. True, whilst nothing came of it then, and it may still hit now.....however.....iffen you don't want the shot...... :bite me:
Hi everyone. I currently reside in South Florida. My husband's job is relocating to Phoenix, AZ. I am clueless about what type of comp and benefits to look for out there. Can anyone make any suggestions?

Personally I hope this gets challenged all the way to the US Supreme Court because forcing individuals to receive any type of medical treatment whether it be vaccines or (other) is a dangerous slippery slope to slide down!
