Nothing for certain, but.....I'll keep an eye out for any other news: http://www.businessexaminer.com/blog...vival-nursing/

Saint Martin's University in Lacey is considering reviving its nursing program.

The program would initially be a post-licensure program where students with a registered nursing license or an associate degree in nursing would be able to work towards their bachelor's degree.

The university will consider the prospect of expanding the program to be a four-year bachelor's program, and perhaps adding a master's program, based on enrollment patterns and projections.

Jean Dyer, Ph.D. has been appointed to head the exploration of reviving the nursing program. She will be visiting Saint Martin's from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania, where she is dean of the College of Health Sciences.

As part of her role as consultant, Dyer will be reaching out to the regional hospitals, including Providence St. Peter, Capital Medical Center, Providence Centralia, and Grays Harbor Community Hospital. She will also be talking to the regional community colleges with associate degree programs, including South Puget Sound Community College, Grays Harbor College and Centralia College.
