    Fried-day, November 5th, 2010

Well, it's Friday, folks. The day has barely started, and I am fried. Hence, Fried-day. Must be the weather, because I am aching. Anyone else feeling down?

I heard California has had a heat wave. Must be the mountains holding the heat in the area.

Got a question that maybe some of you can help with. GrandmaRN has had some problems with work. She has a post in the LTC thread. Perhaps you-all can help her? She and I would appreciate it.

I am in my usual state of affairs. New job is taking its time in sending me to work, they say they are waiting on the background check. Monday I just might try with someone else. Had energy for housework yesterday though and will continue today.

Well after all day in the ER with my patient yesturday they did not admit him and sent him home with no referrals, no new meds, nada.

He's home today - but can't walk, incontinnent, altered loc , Vitals are fine - But we are going back to another hospital today - so much for an easy Friday.

Did they r/o a UTI for incontinance? Cranberry juice in the morning? I am punting here. UTI's can make for wonderful dementia.

BTW....I am not sure, but I swear there was a post on dementa/delerium in LTC. I also swear reading where AD may manifest early in DS people. Not sure, but check if PESI does Cont. Ed in your area. They do home study, if you can't go to the class.

Well my guy got a through work-up -Full body CT scan, Urin and blood cultures, MRI of the brain, LFT, KIdney function They did not find a single dam thing wrong with him.

You are right AD is quite common in DS folk - we see it all the time I just never saw one progress so fast. I'll check on the continuing ed with PESI as I need some CEU's anyway.

    Thanks for your support.

    Peace and Namaste
