    Hello from the Pacific Northwest

Hi! I'm so glad to have found this forum! You guys have awesome smilies!

I'm a new grad RN, hoping to someday practice in critical care. (Or maybe just be employed? Yeah, that would be nice!) I look forward to meeting all of you!

Welcome to the site, Shelley! Glad to see you jumped right in. I'm Cougarnurse, '2nd in Command' here. Aaron C. is our owner/'big boss'.

Pacific NW, eh? How's the weather there?

Take a look around the site, and if you have any questions, post and ask. For any job leads, we have a job tab below the UN name that might help in your job search. We also have the Job Forums available. Perhaps you can stop by the Daily Thread when you can. Any and all suggestions on site improvement are greatly appreciated, too.

    Hope you stop by often!

Welcome! Whereabouts the PNW is your location? Wife & I lived in Tumwater. I was assigned to MAMC, ICU-E. Absolutely beautiful country.

there are plenty of hospitals that will hire new grads into preceptor programs and orient you to the area that you want to work. hopefully you've found a job by now. seems like they are hiring new nurses faster than experienced nurses at this time because they are able to pay less. just ask a ton of questions and you'll learn and be fine. i just moved to hawaii from the pacific northwest, glad to get out of that cold miserable weather. LOL
