Irene Sweeps Through New York

Tropical storm Irene lacked anywhere near the force that had been feared, but still toppled trees and caused sporadic flooding.
WOW regarding all of this and it lived up to its expectations of it. Guess, I was wrong with me predicting that it wasn't going to be like.
Honestly, anywhere one lives, you'll have some 'natural' disaster. California and the earthquakes, any coastal town and hurricanes.....
Not sure if anyone else has heard, but Yellowstone's ground has been shifting: Guess what! Yellowstone is sitting on a Super Volcano.
Things could have been worse, I agree.

The morning commute was relatively painless in the city, but fallen trees and downed wires caused problems in suburban New York and Connecticut.
Yeah to this and what do you expect regarding this. That's one bad thing about living in suburbs or rural areas of CT, NJ, NY
I am glad that I was not in New York when Irene swept by.
