Of course you can always use knowledge deficit but you could also use alteration in nutrition
Hi,
I am new to this board and I need some help. I am doing a case study on G.E.R.D. I need to have some nursing diagnosis, but I am stumped. I had no problems with my other case studies.
Any help with be VERY much appreciated.

PAIN
Hello Debby,
A patient with severe GERD will probably not want to eat large meals, or get adequate nutrition. Gradual or sudden weight loss is a given.
Will probably suffer very real pain on both an acute and chronic basis.
Will probably have multiple knowledge deficits relating to the disease process, medications given to handle the GERD and nutritional guidelines to avoid the GERD.
Sounds like you have plenty to work with already.
