Hi, I am new and have questions

Hi, I am new to this board, my name is Nicole and I want to be a nurse. I LOVE the medical field. I always have been curious but when my son came down with severe Epilepsy at 4 mos I have learned sooo much and I have had many many people tell me this is what I should do with my life. I used to be a rest. manager and love to be busy and on my feet. I am a little confused and scared about a few things.
One is I am not very good at Math my husband is a math genius but I am not very good, will I be ok in school with extra tutoring. I should say in high school I was bad at math but I can convert my son's weight from lbs to kilos at the drop of a hat.
Also what are all the different courses. Some say Bachelor of Science, some say RN-BSN some say LPN-BSN and which should I go for?
Can I work at a hospital being a tech while I am in school?
What are good schools in PHX?
Well I am glad to be here and hope to have some feedback, thanks
    Nicole

Hi, Nicole! To clear up a few questions: LPN -BSN means that you're an LPN going on to complete your studies to becom an RN with a BSN degree. The RN-BSN means that you're an RN (Diploma grad. or Associate Degree) going for your BSN. For example, I'd been an LPN who went on for her BSN.....after my boss did a 'two step' on me.

Yes, you can work as a tech while in school! It wouldn't hurt.

As for math, you need some. I am sure your local Community College would help.
