    Another Intro...

It's not my fault...I didn't want to, but I got an email saying I should.

Hey guys, my name is Andrew/Aldrich. Yes, I have two names. The original one was Andrew, but I hated it and people confuse me with my brother Andrei (I was named after him). My sister's name also starts with the letter A so everybody agreed to call me Aldrich.
I'm 19 in 14 days, and I will start school in 5 days. Hopefully, in one year, I'll have my ADN and RN license.

I didn't know I'd be in Nursing. When I was a senior in H.S., I knew I was going to Med school someday so I applied to the big fancy university here in my state. I got in, but very oblivious to the cost. I got the bill one week before classes start. My parent and I did not have enough money. And even if we did, there is no way we're coughing up THAT much. So I ran to the community college and took basic classes, while thinking what I'm going to do. A firend mentioned being a Nurse Anesthetist, and I liked the idea.

    And that's my intro.

    Welcome & Howdy!

May I suggest you also consider down the road maybe Nurse Practioner, or Clinical Nurse Specialist. CRNA is not the end all of higher nursing profession.

welcome aboard. Sorry to hear you had to go to community college rather than the school you wanted to attend but many times that is by far the best thing for a young person. Many people get caught up at a big school and lose sight of the reason for being there. I am a pretty good example of that for sure. I was not ready to go off to a big college and be on my own.

    Thanks guys.
I had my first class today. And boy, everybody was so smart. It was like everybody read all the reading assignments and then some. I guess the accelerated track was no joke.
Thanks again, I gtg back to the books. 3 chapters more...

Good luck in school. Keep up but don't let your brain get fried. :44:
