I'm trying to decide if I'm too old to go to nursing school. I've worked in a bank for 35 years and who knows what the future holds when my 78 yr old boss retires. I'll be 54 on my bday next week and worry if spending the money it will take to become a nurse is a smart investment. I really like the idea of the traveling nurse since it's only my husband (disabled with his back & COPD and myself. It will take me 3 1/2 - 4 years to get my RN going to school in the evenings. I really need some advice. Thanks.
As one of my instructors has said: and HOW old will you be in 4 years if you DON'T try?
I say, go for it!
That's true.
I agree with cougar. Go for it.
You can take more classes at one time if you do them online instead of driving to a campus at night after work. A convenience factor there. Look into the online version of courses offered by your local community college.
I will do that. Thanks.
