HI. Has anyone recently taken the cna certification test?
Thanks to AngelinnaS for this link. It includes CNA duties, classes by State, and license transfer. Hope it helps!
CNA Certification and Training Information
HI. Has anyone recently taken the cna certification test?
I took my certification test in March of this year (in Oklahoma). The only thing I found stressful (at the time) was doing the skills session in front of the tester. But she turned out to be super sweet and was very patient with me. The person I brought as my 'patient' was my husband and I couldn't for the life of me find his pulse! She did agree (probably placating me, ha) and allowed me to use her. They really do want you to pass (I believe).
The computer test was a breeze (for me). I got a 90-something.
I'm now in LPN school and also have just been hired by my local hospital using my CNA cert.
I take my state test on Sat. was suppose to be on Sun, but the tester call to see if I could come on Sat. instead. Sat. was really my first choice. Our state hires "actors" to be the patient. I think they are just nurses that are moonlighting. I went to my aunts house yesterday to practice my skills, she's a nurse. I study every day and practice so I hope I do well. Hope I don't have a panic attack or any thing.lol.
Good luck, pharmgirl! Let us know how you did.
I am sure that you will do great. The skills test seems alot harder than it is. We were given 25 minutes to do 4 tasks and I had 10 minutes left over. My best advice to you is to pretend that the instructor isn't even there! Let us know how you did!
I just realized how old this thread is! Don't I feel crappy!
It may be an old thread, but it is still appropriate! So, don't get yourself down, cna_n_sc!
I agree with Cougarnurse. So what if a post is a bit old?! Your input is valuable, and who knows WHO you'll help in the future?!
Speaking if resurrecting an old thread... I hate to do it but I have a thing for CNA. I checked out the link above and it's a pretty good site. The most important thing I noticed is the date 2006-2013. Shows longevity. So many sites show up and get blacklisted just as quick. I take nursing and especially cna classes seriously. Its nice to see a site with stickyness. Just my two cents. Hope nobody minds the thread bump lol
